Neutrino

Neutrino

Help little Neutrino successfully navigate a pan-galactic rolling and gliding adventure.

With Neutrino, we created a novel adventure racing game inspired by the rolling ball style of gameplay from the classic maze game Labyrinth.  However, in this game it will not always be the environment that is altered to control the path of the ball, but rather the ball itself will be flexible.  By giving the player fluid ball control through the use of the iPhone accelerometer, we provide a fast-paced, engaging, and fun experience with many unique features that will set this apart from other similar titles.

Rather than manipulating the tilt of the playing field to reach the goal, the player must control the ball itself. By using the tilt control available on the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad the player can roll, jump, glide, hover, sling, and swing through the levels.

There are several adaptations of this type of game in which the player manipulates the tilt of the environment in a similar way to the original, but the gameplay opportunities involved by the manipulation of the rolling ball itself have yet to be tapped. By taking advantage of the PhysX engine, we can create a dynamic game experience that can react according to realistic laws, or fantastic ones. By having the player in direct control of the ball, we also hope to engage them further, and enhance their sense of accomplishment that comes from playing the game.

The game takes place in the subatomic world. At this tiny level of existence, the normal laws of physics no longer apply. This gives us an opportunity to twist them into whatever form will make for entertaining gameplay.
