The management team is comprised of a dynamic group of technical specialists. This nimble team can rapidly respond to customer demands and market conditions. They also represent a core foundation on which additional resources can be brought in to scale operations as required.

Sean Yeomans - CEO

Sean Yeomans

Sean is President and CEO of Telos Group of Companies. Having worked as producer on a number of new media, animation, and gaming projects over the past 17 years, Sean identified a market opportunity for video game development on Prince Edward Island, Canada. Sean has extensive experience in traditional media production, and these skill-sets transfer readily to the sectors of new media and game development, where he applies his natural, entrepreneurial drive and significant industry experience to ensure the success of his projects. Sean holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on literature, philosophy, film and business from the University of New Brunswick. Since 1996, Sean has coordinated and/or managed the creation of Television and Feature film Studios throughout Canada, including Production Coordination, Production Management, location unit management, Producer/Executive Producer and has setup many types of media production studios, including special effect studios, production, and post production in both Halifax and Northern Ontario, Canada. For the past 7 years Sean has taken that experience and applied it to the creation of Telos Group of Companies, and has built a substantial video game production studio. His management experience with special effect and animation television series, such as StarHunter, Lexx, and Afternmath gave him a firm grounding in what it takes to build a multi-million dollar production studio, using local talent and resources to their fullest potential. Sean owns a state-of the-art facility in Charlottetown Prince Edward Island Canada, hiring 45 people currently, with plans to expand to 50 by the end of next year. Sean has been teaching Video Game Design and Interactive Storytelling for 4 years, and now entering the 5th year, as part of the Computer Science and Information Technology Program at the University of Prince Edward Island. The Video Game Design Course is a required course for the department's video game programming specialization. Sean has numerous awards, but the most recent are:

Darren Gill - Project Manager

Darren Gill

Darren has extensive experience in project management spanning Information Technology, Facilities, Operations and Business management. Passionate about quality and customer satisfaction. Record of improving efficiency, productivity and profitability through automation and process improvement. Proficient in the management of projects, business analysis and operations with a specific emphasis on the effective application of efficient processes and accountable leadership to ensure business goals are achieved. Darren is an accomplished project manager and business professional having worked on a number of innovative research projects in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Through the years Darren has formed strategic partnerships with organizations such as ORACLE, DELL, IBM, NETSUITE, JUNIPER and other industry leaders to best meet the needs of his clients. Darren is formally educated in Sociology, Public Administration, Applied Information Technology and Project Management.

Nick McKinnon - Senior Producer

Nick McKinnon

Nick McKinnon is an individual of many talents in a development studio. One of his top talents is the ability to take a basic concept idea and bring it through the entire development lifecycle. An honors graduate from NBCCs Electronic Game Design, Nick also brings to the company a wide range of game design experience across many platforms. Nick has helped bring a wide variety of games to the marketplace including games for companies such as Making Fun inc. (A division of Newscorp), Slingo and A&E to name few.

Joel Gallant - Producer, Design, Lead Tech

Joel Gallant is an experienced software engineer with Telos Entertainment. He's worked on numerous software projects both during and following his formal education in computer science at the University of Prince Edward Island. These projects have included medical care systems, web-based portals, administrative tools, and more recently games created in both Unity 3D and Adobe Flash. In creating these games for PC, Mac, Wii, Facebook, and iPhone OS devices, he's encountered many new challenges and opportunities to broaden his skills, and relishes those occasions.

Dwane Seward - Art Director

Dwane Seward graduated with high honours from the Digital New Media design diploma program from McKenzie College in 2000. Starting his career in the film and television industry, Dwane worked on 3d animated features for Teletoon, TLC and the Discovery Channel. In addition his work with animation Dwane also worked on various print and web design projects further explanding his skillset. Dwane shifted his focus to the video game industry in late 2007 and moved to PEI to work for Telos. Since starting out as a Junior artist, Dwane has progressed in the company to lead artist and is currently overseeing our team of artists to maintain visual style and direction as the Art Director.

Mark Povey - Lead Animator

Mark grew up in North Wales and graduated from Wrexham College of Art in 1983 after attaining a distinction in HND Graphic Design. He began his career at Cosgrove Hall Studios in Manchester, where Mark trained to become an animator working on TV Series - Danger Mouse, Alias the Jester, Count Duckula and BFG (Big Friendly Giant). He continued in the Film Industry for several years working on feature films with legendary directors such as Don Bluth - All Dogs go to Heaven and Rock-a-Doodle, Steven Spielberg - American Tail II, Fieval Goes West and Richard Williams - The Thief and the Cobbler.

It was a natural progression for Mark to move into Computer Games when the opportunity presented itself in 1993, as he was always interested in working with new technology. During the past 17 years he has worked on a number of high profile games, namely - Jurassic Park, Broken Sword, Disney's Tarzan, Crash Bandicoot, Harry Potter, Spiro the Dragon, 50 Cent and Crysis, for some of the top publishers in the business.

James Karle

A cognitive neuropsychologist, Jim Karle is one of Canada's foremost experts examining the impact experience with videogames has on the development of various cognitive processes. Having completed his bachelor of arts with distinction at the University of Manitoba in 2004, Jim was recruited to the graduate program at McMaster University where he received several prestigious research fellowships and awards. At present, Jim is the lead researcher at Telos International, where he is part of a team that is designing and empirically validating video games that improve targeted cognitive abilities.

Additional specialist resources will be added locally as business demands dictate. It is anticipated that many of the resources will be mixture of contractors and employees that provide the flexibility to ‘tool-up' and ‘tool-down' as requirements demand.

Telos uses an advisory board to help it improve and expand its business by drawing on the experience of those both inside and outside of the video game industry. That advisory board includes:

Wes MacAleer

A successful local business personality, former provincial cabinet minister and past member of the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island from 1996 to 2007. Educated at Saint Dunstan's University, Wes worked as a newspaper publisher for The Guardian newspaper and spent 18 years in the Northwest Territories, where he helped introduce cable television and satellite communications technology. As a politician, he served in the provincial cabinet as Minister of Economic Development and Tourism.

That advisory board is supported by a team of professionals who provide services and advice to Telos as needed in specific areas of business. This group includes:
